Anaesthesia for Paediatric ENT Surgery
Download – Anaesthesia for Paediatric ENT Surgery
Children account for approximately one-third of all patients undergoing ear, nose, and throat (ENT) surgery. Procedures range from simple daycase operations, such as myringotomy, to complex airway reconstruction surgery undertaken in specialist centres. This article describes the anaesthetic management of some of the commonly performed paediatric ENT procedures, including adenotonsillectomy, oesophagoscopy, and middle ear surgery. Paediatric bronchoscopy is described in a separate article available on this site.
